Iron Rail Brewing
With the growing Micro Brew trend, Downtown Topeka wanted to grab a slice of that story. In 2018 Iron Rail Brewing was introduced to Kansas Avenue offering taps of their own hand crafted beers and homestyle BBQ with a modern flair. Rich in history, IRB reintroduced the story of Cyrus K Holliday, and how he helped shape Topeka with his influence of the Santa Fe Railroad. Vibrant murals tied to each beer's name give the space a lively feel that leaves you wanting to know more about the city that used to be. We were happy to welcome them to the neighborhood- after all, we are fans of beer o’clock on Friday afternoons.

Events at Iron Rail Brewing
Not only does Iron Rail Brewing connect community with great food and nightly cheers- they host many events that show off where their heart really is. Battle of the Brewers allowed us to tell the story of 6 different home grown brewers for a friendly competition to decide who “brewed it best.” Gold Star Lager was created to bring awareness to the Military Veteran Project and all of the work they do throughout the country and in our own backyard for veterans and their families. Powerful and moving, hearing from both the MVP founder and the IRB head brewmaster about their connection to the service, the event was a success and the beer is still a popular pint to this day.
